First Lady Melania Trump released a video on Monday showcasing this year’s White House Christmas theme, which is called “Home Is Where The Heart Is.”

The video, which was shared Monday on X, formerly Twitter, shows several rooms decorated as part of the “Home Is Where The Heart Is” Christmas displays at the White House.

In a statement to Fox News, the White House said, “Every detail of the 2025 White House Christmas decorations was personally selected by Mrs. Trump to honor the heart of America and the theme ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is.’”

In a Monday press release, the White House explained that the “creative inspiration” behind the first lady’s White House Christmas display this year was sparked by the “joys, challenges, and frequent motion derived from motherhood and business.”

“The constant movement has taught me that home is not merely a physical space; rather, it is the warmth and comfort I carry within, regardless of my surroundings,” Melania Trump stated. “This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love we hold within ourselves, and share it with the world around us. After all, wherever we are, we can create a home filled with grace, radiance, and endless possibilities.”

Fox News reported that this year’s White House Christmas display features over 25,000 feet of ribbon, over 10,000 blue butterflies, over 2,800 gold stars, over 2,000 strands of lights, over 700 feet of garland, and over 120 pounds of gingerbread. The White House noted that Melania Trump appointed Hervé Pierre, a top designer, to implement her Christmas vision this year.

The first lady honored the cause of foster care with this year’s display of the “Fostering the Future Red Room.”

“Fostering the Future is a mission the first lady cares about deeply. As we began discussing Christmas decorations, the butterfly emerged as a prominent theme, as it symbolizes renewal, resilience, and new beginnings for the foster care community,” Pierre told Fox News. “It was clear that the blue butterfly was the perfect choice to fulfill Mrs. Trump’s creative vision for her Christmas themed Be Best Room.”

Other Christmas displays at the White House include the East Room, which celebrates the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States with patriotic exhibits; the Green Room, which features two presidential portraits made out of thousands of puzzle pieces; and the State Dining Room, which features a massive gingerbread house display of the South Portico.

The White House explained that this year’s Christmas displays at the White House “serve as a reminder that the strength of our Nation is found in its people—in our shared values, valued traditions, and the steadfast belief that home is where the heart is.”

Pictures of the Christmas displays have been shared by the White House on social media.
