A male suspect who recently made death threats against Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, investigative journalist Laura Loomer, and media personality Josh Hammer has been arrested and is facing multiple charges.

In a Monday post on X, formerly Twitter, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, a Republican, announced, “Last week, our Office of Statewide Prosecution was notified of multiple death threats made to Jewish conservative media members who live in Florida.”

“After an investigation, we obtained an arrest warrant for Nicholas Ray of Spring, TX,” Uthmeier added. “Ray is now in custody and will be extradited to Florida to face charges of extortion, written threats to kill, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.”

The Daily Wire reported that the 28-year-old suspect allegedly posted threatening messages against Dillon and other conservative media members on social media under the username “zionistarescum.”

In one message to the Babylon Bee CEO, Ray wrote, “You’re in on it too b-tch don’t think we forgot. Conspired with foreign govt about killing Charlie we f-cking know you did b-tch. We’re gonna get you I promise maybe not today or tomorrow but you’re living on borrowed time and you know it.”

In response to the threat, Dillon tweeted, “You live in Houston, right? I’ve been in touch with law enforcement and they have some questions.”

Following the Florida attorney general’s announcement of Ray’s arrest and charges on Monday, Dillon released a statement, saying, “I don’t recommend threatening Florida residents. Thanks to @AGJamesUthmeier, @JeremyRedfernFL, and the rest of the team for taking threats seriously. And thanks to the incredible people at @fdlepio who handled the investigation. My family is sincerely grateful.”

Loomer also addressed the threats made by the 28-year-old suspect, describing Ray’s threats as “credible.” She claimed that Ray’s death threats against her were sparked by “false accusations” that she is a foreign agent.

“The threats were targeted, as all of the targets of these threats (including myself) are Jewish, pro-Trump, conservative media figures, and we all live in Florida,” Loomer said.

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by Politico documents multiple death threats made by Ray against multiple conservative and Jewish individuals. The threats included statements such as “You’re gonna get killed soon buddy. It’s coming, traitors get hung,” and “[Americans] will take turns beating your lifeless body with a pinata stick you lifeless traitor.”
