First Lady Melania Trump released the first trailer on Wednesday for her upcoming film, “MELANIA,” which is scheduled for release at the end of January.

“History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the U.S. Presidential Inauguration,” Melania Trump told Fox News. “For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold—a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America.”

The documentary trailer starts with Melania Trump walking into the U.S. Capitol rotunda for President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Looking at the camera, the first lady says, “Here we go again.”

The trailer shows the first lady at Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, and in Washington, D.C., prior to the president’s second inauguration. In one scene, Melania Trump can be heard commenting on the president-elect’s speech while he was practicing it.

“My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” Donald Trump said. Melania Trump can then be heard interjecting, “Peacemaker and unifier.”

Fox News reported that Melania Trump told the outlet the story portrayed in the upcoming documentary film “has never been told, and because the subject matter is historically consequential, it was imperative for me to produce a film of the highest cinematic standard, suitable exclusively in theaters worldwide.”

“The 20 days of my life, preceding the U.S. Presidential inauguration, constitutes a rare and defining moment—one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship,” the first lady added. “I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life—20 days of intense transition and planning—with moviegoers and fans across the globe.”

According to Fox News, the documentary film, which is 104 minutes long, will be released in movie theaters across the world on January 30, 2026. A source told the outlet that Melania Trump was involved in “every aspect” of the upcoming film, including laying out her “creative vision,” helping produce the movie, and helping oversee post-production marketing.

A source familiar with the film’s planning told Fox News, “She is giving the audience unprecedented access to her life — and to any first lady’s life — during this 20-day period.”

Fox News reported that Amazon and MGM purchased the license for the upcoming film for $40 million, which set the record for the largest deal for a documentary. According to Fox News, Disney, Paramount, and Netflix all attempted to gain exclusive rights to “MELANIA” prior to Amazon and MGM’s winning bid. The outlet noted that Amazon is also planning to launch a documentary series as part of the deal with Melania Trump.
