A relative of the transgender roommate and boyfriend of Tyler Robinson, the suspect believed to be responsible for the assassination of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk, has claimed that the transgender individual “hates conservatives and Christians” and likely influenced Robinson’s political beliefs.
According to Newsweek, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed on Monday that Robinson’s transgender roommate and boyfriend has been identified as 22-year-old Lance Twiggs.
A relative of Twiggs told Fox News that the 22-year-old was in a romantic relationship with the assassination suspect and is in the process of changing his gender from male to female. The anonymous relative also told the outlet that Twiggs started acting differently at the age of 18 and eventually developed a hatred toward conservatives and Christians.
“He hates conservatives and Christians,” the relative stated. “He hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached [and] been radicalized.”
The relative noted that Twiggs has “obviously gotten progressively worse the last year or two” and is “always very angry.” The anonymous relative also suggested that the 22-year-old assassination suspect’s political beliefs were likely influenced by Twiggs during the course of their relationship.
“I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating,” the relative stated. “They are big [video] gamers, and obviously they have that group that influences them as well as others. But my gut tells me [the roommate] did more of the influencing.”
The relative added, “Everybody in my family wants justice to be served and wants no part in this and wants whoever is involved in whatever way to have to pay for that.”
According to Fox News, Robinson and his transgender boyfriend shared an apartment located in St. George, Utah. An FBI official confirmed to the outlet that Twiggs “had no idea” about Robinson’s alleged plans to assassinate the 31-year-old conservative icon and that he has been “extremely cooperative” with law enforcement officials following last week’s assassination.
A video and picture shared on X, formerly Twitter, appear to show Twiggs dressed in an animal costume.
