President Donald Trump warned on Sunday that homeless individuals in Washington, D.C., “have to move out, IMMEDIATELY” and will be provided with places to stay “FAR from the Capital” ahead of his Monday press conference on “Crime and ‘Beautification.’”

In a Monday statement on Truth Social prior to the president’s anticipated press briefing, Trump wrote, “Washington, D.C. will be LIBERATED today! Crime, Savagery, Filth, and Scum will DISAPPEAR. I will, MAKE OUR CAPITAL GREAT AGAIN! The days of ruthlessly killing, or hurting, innocent people, are OVER! I quickly fixed the Border (ZERO ILLEGALS in last 3 months!), D.C. is next!!!”

On Sunday, Trump shared pictures of homeless camps and trash observed throughout D.C. in a post on Truth Social. Trump announced that he would be holding a news conference on Monday regarding the steps his administration will take to make the capital “safer and more beautiful” than ever before.

“The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital,” Trump said. “The Criminals, you don’t have to move out. We’re going to put you in jail where you belong. It’s all going to happen very fast, just like the Border. We went from millions pouring in, to ZERO in the last few months. This will be easier — Be prepared! There will be no ‘MR. NICE GUY.’ We want our Capital BACK.”

In another statement on Sunday, Trump said the “Crime and ‘Beautification’” press conference would take place at 10 a.m. on Monday and would not only address the surge in crime in D.C. but would also address the cleanliness and renovation of the “once beautiful and well maintained” city.

The president warned that the American people will not “put up with” the crime and deterioration of the capital any longer and pledged to quickly fix the situation in D.C.

“Just like I took care of the Border, where you had ZERO Illegals coming across last month, from millions the year before, I will take care of our cherished Capital, and we will make it, truly, GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote. “Before the tents, squalor, filth, and Crime, it was the most beautiful Capital in the World. It will soon be that again.”

Trump’s Truth Social statements regarding the homeless population and criminals in D.C. come amid reports that the president is considering the deployment of up to 1,000 National Guard troops in D.C. to address the city’s crime problem, which was highlighted last week when a former Department of Government Efficiency employee was brutally assaulted.
