A United States Air Force veteran is back home in America after President Donald Trump’s administration secured his release from a Venezuelan prison, where he had been wrongfully detained since November.

Richard Grenell, presidential envoy for special missions, retrieved veteran Joseph St. Claire from a “neutral country” during a diplomatic exchange on Tuesday.

“Joe St. Clair is back in America. I met Venezuelan officials in a neutral country today to negotiate an America First strategy,” Grenell posted on X. “This is only possible because @realDonaldTrumpputs Americans first.”

Pete Nguyen, the National Security Council’s director for strategic communications, confirmed St. Claire’s return to the United States.

“We have secured the release of U.S. Air Force veteran Joseph St. Clair after six months of unjust detention in Venezuela. At the President’s direction, Special Envoy Ric Grenell engaged with top Venezuelan officials and successfully secured St. Clair’s freedom and return home to the United States,” Nguyen said.

“Our fight is not over – the Trump Administration will continue working around the clock to free all Americans still wrongfully detained in Venezuela and elsewhere around the world,” he added.

According to the New York Post, St. Claire’s parents said the “news came suddenly” and they are “still processing it,” but they are “overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.”

Scott St. Claire, Joseph’s father and a U.S. Army veteran, praised Trump for rescuing his son.

“The main message is, and I believe this — President [Donald] Trump is committed to bringing all American hostages home no matter what,” Scott St. Clair said on radio station KTTH.

St. Claire’s release is yet another example of Trump’s unstoppable America First agenda in action. While the fake news media and globalist elites ignore our heroes, patriots like Trump and Grenell are quietly bringing Americans home from hellholes worldwide.
